Beyond the Blog .

In a world of i-Phones, Android technology, applications, embedded video and interactive conversations taking place across social media channels we need to make use these tools to build our brand and generate business interaction.

It’s relatively easy to set up and manage a blog, but going past that to leverage the power of tagged videos, slidesets and apps to gain credibility and engage customers is much more demanding.

We need to

* Master how to embed information from one place to another

* Engage with mobile users

The Chartered Institute of Marketing is running an event in Brighton on 30th June to tell us more about these items. Speakers like Alan Rae and Nick Tadd will cover

* What tools you can use to increase impact and dialogue with your customers.

* How to use a variety of tools (including embedded video, fan pages and twitter streams) and, crucially, how to select the right ones for your business.

We’ll also have Penny Power the founder of Ecademy and one of the pioneers of how to build an online presence who will talk about “thinking digitally and building community”
